So, there was a thing I wanted to ask, if anyone feels like taking some time to help...
[Fai certainly looks awkward, rubbing his cheek absently and glancing off-screen almost as if he's afraid of being discovered or something.]
If you have a- a friend, and you're starting to worry that something is... I don't know, hurting them in some way? But they also haven't said anything to you, even though they usually talk to you about everything...
[He seems to realize that he's being a bit too obvious, and tries to pull himself together, smiling brightly and disarmingly.]
Well, would you assume that it's something that has to do with you in some way? Or is that a bit self-absorbed, maybe? And more to the point, if they won't talk to you about it, can you give any advice as to how you're supposed to help them? I mean, I'm really starting to get worried here...
[And then it seems to strike him that this isn't something teachers normally ask of colleagues and students alike, and he grins a bit sheepishly.]
You'd think I was still seventeen, asking things like this on the network. Perhaps I ought to adopt a more professional tone for the next message, but for now I'd be grateful for any advice anyone is willing to give me. Thank you.
