[Who says teenagers are the only ones who take video of themselves staring forlornly out the window? Actually, most teenagers would be smart enough not to open the damn thing when it's cold enough to snow... call it defiance of the elements.

Satomi Suzuki is sitting on the window sill, looking out through the softly falling snow at the waning quarter moon. Facing away from the camera, it's not immediately obvious the white cloud coming from her isn't just her breath, until she lets her hand lower so she can speak.]

It's odd, some of the things you end up missing. And sometimes, you don't even realize how much you missed them until you have them again. It wasn't until New Years that I realized I hadn't had nabe in almost half a year. Funny, isn't it? Getting nostalgic about a simple dish like that... well, maybe it was the company.

[A moment as she takes another drag, then slowly exhales. It almost seems like that's all she has to say, before she speaks up again.]

What sort of foods do you find yourself missing, hm? Maybe we should start a cooking club.

[Oh look, it's Ms. Suzuki, the Economics teacher, right where you'd expect her, in...

Okay, no, that clearly isn't her office. For one thing, she's not allowed to create a pall of smoke like the one just above her head on school grounds. For another, the empty glass in her hand has one of those perfectly spherical balls of ice in it, visible just at the bottom of the screen. It's not even 5pm.]

I'd just like to remind all the 10th and 12 graders in my class that you papers are indeed due before the break next week, so if you're planning not to come in at all that week, you have to hand it in this Friday. No handing it in late without excruciating circumstances. [Oh this silly Japanese woman clearly mean "extenuating", right? Right?]

As for my 11th graders, you can thank one of your classmates: I've agreed to move the quiz to Friday for similar reasons. [...on what conditions?] The reading schedule won't change though, so if you don't show up next week, either take your books wherever you're going or be ready to do plenty of catching up when you get back.

[She pauses, looking down at her glass, using a finger to stir that ice ball around a couple times before looking back at the camera.]

I suppose that's all, really. I'll be holding normal office hours the days we have class. They may even be in my office.

[Smiling, she reaches over and turns the feed off]
