I'll try to keep this short. This is no time for speeches. [Not that she ever got to make the important one...]
Xavier didn't lie to anyone, or hide me from you. I was even at your prom... We just agreed it would compromise the situation if we drew attention to my presence here. And like Director Fury said... the authorities knew I was here all along.
As for the situation... I'm going to turn myself in to SHIELD. I talked it over with Forearm and Reaper already. This... wasn't what we wanted. For any of us. I still believe the war is inevitible, but it's not going to start here, on a place where people are supposed to feel safe.
Sorry, Xavier... I took the decision out of your hands. But think of it this way... if I go of my own free will, this won't compromise your ideals.
Zancrow... Keep your chin up, okay? I'll see you again. Promise. [Even though they both knew that wasn't a promise she could keep.]
Students of the Institute... I have to say, I've... enjoyed my time here. It was pretty nice, getting to be almost a normal teenager. At least for a little while...
