[Well, then. Feliks tries the handle to see if it's locked, and knocks harder if it is. At least Reimu's clearly home.]

Hey, Reimu~? It's me! I'm here to get bitched out like I promised!

-There is a thump that was clearly the sound of Reimu rolling out of bed, a loud groan, stomping steps, and finally the door was open. There was Reimu, in all of his middle of the day nap glory. And speaking in Japanese.-

{What time is it? What am I supposed to be doing, now?]

[Living with his first roommate was enough to teach him the first half, but the second isn't elementary enough for him.]

4時半。But like, 日本語分からないし！

[ "Half past four. But like, I don't understand Japanese!" It was a phrase worth picking up, with all the foreign students they got.]

... Oh. Right. -Back to English.- Now I remember.

Right. So like, can I come in or what?

[Unless Reimu's planning on telling him in detail why he shouldn't attempt to pickle his romantic problems in vodka right in the hallway.]

Get in here. I'll make some coffee. -Having the coffee maker allowed right in his room was pretty much the only real benefit of staff housing.-

[Feliks goes in, shutting the door behind them. He manages to avoid fidgeting physically, only to realize he's idly changing his shirt different colors, and then he can't quite stop.]

[He looks for somewhere to sit, trying to stay calm -- if not particularly cheerful.]

So... What the hell happened that cause you to drink enough to think that was a good idea?

I mean technically it's more "what the Hell happened that caused you to drink so much you didn't realize your text was addressed to every person at the school"?

Don't get pedantic. Either way, you had to have been smashed out of your head and you only get that drunk when you're pretty severely upset.

[He feels a little trapped, now, and wishes he had just pretended he forgot to come, or given up when Reimu wasn't awake at first. He fidgets with the sleeve of his sweater, not even trying to make any kind of eye contact.]

I just, like, got carried away a little? Like after a while there wasn't much left in the bottle, so I figured, like, why not finish it?

... -Reimu let out a sigh, easing his posture and patting Feliks' shoulder.-

I'm sorry if you feel pressured. I'm just worried, you know?

[Well, that doesn't so much make him feel better. More like "bad in a different way"... It wasn't his intention to worry his friends, but things don't exactly always work out as he intended.]

It's seriously not a big deal. You don't have to be, ok?

I don't believe you... but I can't make you tell me.

What I mean is...

[Let's try this again, a little more honestly. Lying isn't really something he's... any good at at all, when the chips aren't really and truly down.]

What I mean is, it's like, not something you need to be worried about. 'Cause I'm gonna be fine, ok?

[That, at least, he can muster up some conviction for. He's going to be fine. Always, no matter what.]

That... That I can believe. -Reimu sighed, finally getting a chance to drink some coffee.-

[He played with his hair a little, not really in the mood to drink coffee.]

It's nothing new, and it's nothing I'm not stronger than. I just... kinda have to get used to it again, you know?

[He had a little break from remembering how much unrequited love sucked, and he needed to just... kick it out of his mind again.]

So it's relationship trouble. -Reimu spoke from behind the rim of his mug. There were times when he could zero in on the source of a problem with uncanny ability. It really made one wonder just how observant he really was.-

[Feliks bit his lip, looking away again, then shook his head.]

As if! You need a relationship to have that, right?

[He's really not doing that great a job of keeping his emotions off of his face, though.

... See, there's something a little less genuine when you say something like that versus the attitude I have about it right around now.

Well, it's way better than dating, at least.

["Dating", for Feliks, is a word which has thus far meant occasionally going on blind dates that people set him up on, and turning every one that asked him for a second date down for reasons like "seemed nice and funny and all, but I didn't like his shirt" or "he smiled at me funny" or "talked about too much boring stuff". Really any reason, since he just plain wasn't interested if it wasn't Fai.]
