So like, I've been thinking. I know Mutants Aren't Monsters has been kinda quiet lately, 'cause I've been studying and X-man-ing and in Europe and stuff, but with all this stuff going down lately, I totally wanna get back on it.

Who wants to do a flash mob? It'll be super fun!

Oh, and like, my confessor was all like "the Hail Marys are cool for God but maybe like apologize to your schoolmates too" and stuff, so, um...

Sorry for drunk texting everyone! I made cheesecake, it's in the lounge closest to the dining room.

[That's an apology, right? He grins, a little nervously like he's not used to doing this, and waves a little before the message ends. If you'd prefer action, he'll be in the lounge with the candlestick cheesecake.]

[And he is! It takes only a few minutes for a little green fly to buzz into the room and, seeing it void of his pink-haired pal, transform into a green, jumpsuit-clad teenager.]

Bring on the food, dude!

[Feliks has always been very affectionate with the people he likes, and BB has quickly entered this category, with his enthusiasm and his willingness and ability to sometimes be a cute pony. He hugs him, then all but shoves a plate of cheesecake into his hands.]

Here you go, just for you!

Oh!

[Beast Boy doesn't have any objections to physical affection, but the hug catches him by surprise! He's been hugged by only about half a dozen people in his whole life, not counting when he was in animal form. He stands there like a lump until it's too late to return the gesture, and blinks down at the cheesecake in front of him.]

Uh, thanks! Cool!

[He takes the cheesecake, a little dazed.]

[He flops back onto the couch, making himself comfortable.]

So like, where'd you come here from, anyway? I totally didn't ask you that before, right? If I did, I spaced out about it.

I'm from here! Kinda. I haven't been back in the U S A for more than like, a month since I was a kid. I move around a lot, but we were operating in Brazil for a pretty long time before I left!

[He joins Feliks on the couch as he speaks. Then shovels a forkful of cheesecake into his mouth and speaks around it.]

Hey, this is really good!

Duh, of course it's good! Like, it's my Babcia's recipe, you know?

[He looks pleased as anything at the praise, either way.]

So can you like, speak Portuguese or whatever?

I can say Hi, Bye, and Bathroom.

[He laughs. He didn't get a lot of interaction with the locals, unfortunately, and while his vocabulary is slightly better than that, it isn't much.]

What's a Babcia?

[Feliks laughs. Yeah, languages are hard anyway, man.]

That's like, about as much as I can say in Italian?

"Babcia" is, like, "Granny".

I'm gonna guess you're not from here, then?

[He takes another huge bite of cake. Mmm. He never had a granny to bake for him.]

Nope! Like, my family's from Kraków, but I was in Warszawa as a kid, and we've lived in America since, like... 11, 12-ish years ago? God. Forever!

I still go back to Poland for most of the summer, though. There's a ton of work to do there, you know?

[His face lights up. Oh! Poland! He didn't recognise the city names, but a least he knows where that is.]</small Work to do?

'Cause like, I know my country's the coolest, but we can always be even cooler! I've got the headquarters for the European branch of Mutants Aren't Monsters over there, and like, another charity promoting tolerance in the Church!

Whoa! Where do you find the energy? All that, plus X-Men stuff? When do you get a vaycay?

Well, like, the X-men stuff is just whenever the Old Man needs me to do my thing, right? And I'm almost done with my classes and my thesis, and there's not actually a ton of students doing Political Science, so there's not a ton to do as TA, either...

Plus, a bunch of the day-to-day stuff for the foundations is someone else's problem. Like, paperwork and organization and filing for nonprofit status and junk is so not my thing, you know? I just kind of come up with ideas on the creative side, and sometimes have meetings or video conferences and stuff like that about it!

So most days, I actually still spend a lot of time kinda hanging around! I did have a pretty rad shopping trip in France this summer, though... And I visited Fai in the tropics for a bit, too!

[The number of things he has going on and his sort of spotty actual work ethic ARE why he's a 5th year senior instead of already a teacher, though.]

[France, the tropics? Is everyone in this school loaded but him, or is it just the cute blondes?]

Who's Fai? Family? Boyfriend?

[Well, he's semi-loaded from that time Toph's dad hired kidnappers, he got caught up in it, and they sued the pants off of him, but France isn't too hard to get to if you're in continental Europe anyway, and the Tropical Adventure was a special, one-time kind of thing?]

Huh? Haha, no, he's like, my best friend! You know the science teacher? Like, cute, kind of spacey, comes in through the window more than the door? His twin teaches home ec?

[If BB has picked up any of the rumors about Feliks around campus, they probably involve their epic, years-long failure to see what's right in front of them. There's a betting pool regarding when they will hook up (not if), and a few bets on "they already did, and are just screwing with us all and seeing how long it takes people to call them on it."]

Oh! Oh! You're the one he's supposed to be, like, secretly married to!

[Oh yes, he's heard.]

[HAHAHA GOOD. I mean, wow, that's uncomfortable! Feliks brushes his hair back with an awkward little laugh.]

As if! We'd be the worst at being secretly married -- can you even imagine us keeping a secret that big for like, 20 minutes?

Also, we'd totally have a huge, fabulous wedding.

...Not that I've thought about marrying him!
