Um...hello.

[Shulk looks a little...beat. He had just come from a workout and was currently in his lab, filming this exact post. Despite the exercise routine, he had his own knowledge to keep up with. Which meant experimenting and finding the answer to quite a few questions.]

As you know, we're in the summer period, which means lessons are on a hold. If any of you planned on signing up for Shop class when the school year starts with me, I'll be offering a bonus course this summer, which you can apply your earnings towards the actual year. Please feel free to ask about it or visit me in the lab at anytime to find out the details.

And, ah, for those of you with questions about your abilities and how to more effectively use them, I would be more than happy to address those questions. In my area of expertise, I'm more than capable of helping you become more effective at what you do. Again, just ask now or visit when you have the chance.

[And as promised, Shulk IS working in the lab. Mostly, at the moment, trying to line up a laser with a crystal of his design, hoping to see any type of effect. Experimentation was certainly a process. And yes, he was wearing something like a welding mask to protect his eyes. AND YES, he had a cup of coffee sitting on the table nearby. He should also be told to go to bed at appropriate times.]

Viti was clicking on random links when he saw the video. He started watching it. When he heard the words "Shop" and "class" he fell back with a sigh, crossing his arms over his chest. He moved his cursor over the "X" symbol to close the video window until Shulk said something to stop him.

Viti's eyes lit up. He oppened the lines of communication, interlocked his fingers under his chin and with a smile said,

"Lets talk, Professor Shulk."

"Of course. What would you like to know?"

It was a start, at least. A start for Shulk applying himself to helping others here so any tragedy that had previously taken place could be handled much better in the future with people who could better handle themselves.

Viti leaned back again, realizing that context might be in order.

"My power is to absorb information from all over the universe, but right now the information it gives me is random, and largely irrelevant. I want to have control of this power so it gives me information that's relevant, instead of useless facts, and poems from other planets."

Viti's gaze couldn't be swayed as he sat anticipating Shulk's response.

"Hmmm..."

He had a few guesses right off the top of his head. The problem was giving too much hope for what was essentially a theory. There were a lot of questions to be asked too, making it a bit more difficult.

"...I guess my first question is what brings the information to your mind? I'm assuming it's not something you're stuck dealing with constantly or else simply speaking properly would be an issue. Is there some kind of catalyst?"

Viti took a deep breath as he thought on how to explain his power.

"I am a little confused myself on this point, but apparently there is a portal in my head that feeds the information directly into my brain. I don't know how the portal finds the data. Something about there being a law of conservation of information..."

Viti threw up his hands in frustration "...or something. What I do know, is that this portal has been giving me information since I was born, but it was so subtle I didn't even know it existed until Professor Xavier told me it did. When I got information from it I just assumed that I got the information from a book I forgot about, or heard it somewhere, or just imagined it. Except for lately."

Viti closed his eyes, and sighed. "Lately it been starting to hurt. One time I almost became unconscious. Gregory, the healer, had to help me out."

"It sounds like we'll have to sit down together for a couple hours and run a few tests."

Wait, that sounded a little bit too ominous. Especially from someone wearing a labcoat.

"Nothing intrusive, really. What I'm thinking is giving you words, images, and different situations and see what comes from that. You see, the key is discovering the triggers. Once that's found out, we're on the first step to properly controlling what comes to mind."

Ah, no. I'm simply good at applying concepts and thinking outside of the box. My talent is...ah, super brainpower.

Ah, good day. I am, in fact, always interested in pursuing a more comprehensive appreciation and mastery of my... talents. Although I've made great strides with respect to control, I fear I've never really had a trainer in how better to employ them. ...if, of course, I take your meaning correctly, and that is the sort of advice which you intend to offer.

It wouldn't be training as much as research and thought on application. For example, someone who can use electricity may decide to just use it to shock things. But if they can output enough power, why not use one's self much like a railgun and make that an offensive capability?

Ahh, I understand. Even so, I suppose once the principles are developed, I can develop and pursue the training, myself, as needed. Your assistance with the former would certainly be appreciated.

In brief, I can generate and--more or less--control a high-temperature, high-density air-plasma, shaping and guiding it. I've developed a number of tricks... compression, jets, cutting and welding arcs, but I'm afraid I've had little access to guidance in that arena.
