Sixth Haiku [Voice, Locked to X-Men and Staff]

This is the moment where we have to ask ourselves:

Is sheltering her worth the trouble? We're at a very real risk of making enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D., which could compromise the safety of a number of people here.

Perhaps we've let her borrow enough time. She got herself into this mess willingly, after all.

[He'll be the absolute last to suggest doing anything against Xavier's orders or behind his back -- but he's more than willing, at this point, to question the decisions that have been made.]

We don't owe her anything, do we? The best we can do is pass her off to S.H.I.E.L.D. quietly and try and get them to keep quiet about our involvement.

That may be the best in the long term.

But the students have been rather vocal as well. I fear this will influence the Professor's decision.

He'll decide what he thinks is right, either way. But it might not be bad for him to hear what's on everyone's mind.

[In a less literal, psychic-y sense.]

He has access to the network; he'll see what it's important for him to see.

He's probably got enough on his mind without interruptions, anyway.

Well, it seems all we can do for now is wait and see.

And keep the students in check in case they try something rash.

We'll need to keep an eye on her fan club. They're not people I'd trust to exhibit any kind of self-restraint.

I would rather it not come to blows, but worst comes to worst, we may need to act in our authority as teachers.

This isn't about what we'd rather. It seldom is.

I know. I suppose wishful thinking would not work, either.

But what of Renko's opinion? She might be pressed to do something before the time limit is up.

Frankly, I don't give a good goddamn about her opinion. We should keep a close eye on her to be sure she doesn't try anything too crazy before we're rid of her, though.

I believe Storm has that covered, but it wouldn't hurt to do a bit of work on our own.

I trust her implicitly, but a backup plan never hurts.

That might be something more suited to combat professionals amongst our staff.

I am afraid I cannot do much in this quarter.
