[It's Jun's second post on the network within a couple of days. She'd love to go to someone she felt comfortable with about this and save everyone the trouble, but there just isn't anyone in particular she feels that close with yet. So instead Jun is left to make a plea for help on the general net.

Unlike her last post, Jun isn't cleaned up and her room isn't perfect. She's dressed and her hair is back, but she's not terribly neat. It looks more like she was rushing. She may have just woken up recently, and when she speaks it's very quietly.]

"What's happening around here...? I-I keep seeing all this talk about x-teams and riots and danger rooms.. I thought we were supposed to be safe here. I don't understand. Did I make a mistake in coming here..?

[Jun pauses, feeling like she might start crying. Her expression is much more troubled now and her voice is full of emotion.]

"I'm scared. I don't know if I should be here... I've never fought anyone before, I don't know if I could. I can barely control my powers. I don't know what to do...Please..."

[Jun doesn't know what she's begging for. Comfort? Advice? Protection? She just doesn't know. She knows her mother and sister would be disappointed in her if she quit, but maybe she's not made for this place.
Maybe she really did make a mistake. This isn't what she wanted at all.]

[This person's voice sounded like smoke, swirling and transparent in places instead of a single stripe of color. That was a new one.]

It's safer here than elsewhere.

[Well, for everyone else around her. And Kaede's mental health as far as continuing not to make Bad Life Decisions went.]

[This makes Jun visibly more uncomfortable. She's not even sure if she should reply but she doesn't feel right ignoring it either.]

"I-I couldn't do that...I don't even know you.."

[Kaede shrugs before she recalls that she set this on audio. She didn't terribly feel like moving to switch the camera on this machine, or really doing much at all right now. Her voice is the same flat, slightly bored sounding tone as before.]

People are usually afraid of me before they ask my name anyway, so.

[Eddie can't see any of Jun's room or her current state, but he recognizes the fear and anxiety in her voice.]

Hey. You're not alone in thinking that. Kind of felt the same way when I got here.

[It's a little comforting to know that someone else feels- or has felt- the same way.]

I mean... No place is really fully safe for mutants, but you're a lot safer here than anywhere else. That's why the Professor took me in. Anywhere else, I'd be in a lot of trouble by now... -Especially considering what she did during the riots but... best not to mention that to her already frightened friend.-

[It sounded so much like everyone was doing it, Jun just sort of assumed the place was going to hell or something. But if she can stay out of it...maybe it's not so bad?]

I don't really too much about the details. I mean, I never used to pay too much attention to this kind of stuff before but...

There was this big rally with the Mutant Liberation Front over in District X. But those Friends of Humanity jerks showed up and that's when the fighting started.

[He smiled reassuringly, projecting confidence and sympathy: it's going to be okay, and he's sure of it, so don't worry!]

I hope you've heard already, by now, but the talk of X-Teams is purely voluntary. Certainly, no one is obligated to take part, and the Danger Room is simply a training environment--to prepare those who do volunteer, so we will be more ready to face dangerous situations, if necessary.

[He pauses briefly.]

I don't know that there is such a thing as absolute safety for those with exceptional abilities, in the present state of affairs. But I do sincerely believe that this is one of the safest places, surrounded by those who have a great deal of experience in protecting the interests of those deemed 'mutants,' and those who will not hesitate to stand up for your right to be left in peace.

[That seems almost rehearsed. Oh, well. It helps her relax a little anyway. She's learning quickly from all the responses that she should be at least a little safe. Certainly there's a lot of people who can fight for the safety of those who cant, and that's more than she had in the comfort of her home. And now that she's calming down a little, it's almost exciting to see all that's going on.

Almost. The optimism can only carry her so far. There's still a lot of uncertainty.]

[She's smiling a little, so that's good.]

"I think I overreacted...I mean I'm not going to lie, I'm still scared...Just maybe a little less? Anyway, thank you."

[He smiles a touch more playfully as she composes herself a bit.]

And I'm certainly relieved that you feel better, at least, but you can scarcely be faulted for finding the situation disconcerting. Any reasonable person knows fear, and there are times that our hearts get the better of us. I would be skeptical of anyone claiming to have never overreacted, one way or another. Please, let me know if I can be of any assistance in the future.

[Feliks, still dressed in his cutest pajamas (a long, distinctly feminine nightgown with an off-the-shoulder neckline), runs a hand through his hair and tries to blink the sleep out of his eyes.]

There's been some drama with riots and all, and like, we are kinda the base for the X-men, so us being involved has kinda been a thing.

But whatever, listen for a sec. [He transforms his nightgown into his X-men uniform, for extra credibility, because he does sort of look like a teenage girl in his nightgown, which evidently is not the most inspiring of confidence.]

This is a shelter, and we totally do everything we can to keep everyone safe here. For some of us, sometimes, that means fighting, and you're probably going to want to learn basic self-defense, because it does get kinda crazy sometimes?

But we're safer here than we could be just about anywhere else. And no one's gonna make you fight. 'Kay?

[Oh boy. Hopefully he doesn't mind the weird looks she's giving him. She doesn't know he can see her, honest! But she's very confused and a little...interested? Not in a inappropriate way, of course, but he seems so...feminine. That alone is comforting to someone like Jun.

[Alright, so to anyone else he might just seem like a goofball, but Jun is not appreciating his tone. Her brow is furrowed now and her hands are on her hips. She's not taking sass from some green kid, no matter how scared she might have been.]

"Okay, Beast Boy, but maybe some people don't know stuff like that! I'm sorry I'm not caught up on the state human/mutant relations, but I'm not an idiot!"
