[When Giselle flips on the video feed, she has a bright smile on her face and some freshly cut flowers in hand.]

Hello there, everyone! Welcome to our newest students and welcome back to everyone that was in stasis.

[She’s still not sure she completely understands how that works, but what she does understand is that years have passed without them. That’s got to feel strange, so she wants to do her best to be reassuring.]

My name is Giselle, and it’s lovely to meet all of you. It’s also nice to see old friends again. Oh, I’m sure we’ll have a wonderful year!

[There’s no hint of sarcasm in her voice, either. She genuinely sounds that optimistic about the future.]

If anyone new would like a tour around campus, I’d be happy to show you around. I know I was a little nervous when I started here. Everyone was very kind so don’t worry. This school can be a little unorthodox, but also a lot of fun.

[For a moment, she considers what else to mention. Things that students might want to know about beyond the basics.]

There are a lot of clubs here, so you’re sure to find something to keep yourself busy with. And if there isn’t a club for something you enjoy yet, then the teachers here are very supportive to students who want to get one started.

[She waves.]

You sound perfectly sincere, but I honestly cannot think of a single way you can go to a school that was destroyed by an event so powerful it warped time and be this optimistic.

Ah...neither? I don't drink aside from a half-glass of wine at dinner with my family sometimes and I don't do drugs.

[She has to wonder what brought that on.]

I just believe in the importance of keeping a positive outlook.

Yes, I do. It's terrible that people would do that, but I believe in Professor Xavier's dream of a better future and I would like to focus on trying to help others.

This isn't fair, I feel old and I'm still fifteen.

And I'm sure your tune will change given enough time.

You're not old at all, although it sounds like you've been through a lot.

So, what kind of things do you like to do around here?

I went to school here when our big concern was giant robots trying to kill us. I don't think 'a lot' really covers it.

And I haven't figured out which of the stores I liked are still open, it has been a while. I need to spend an afternoon catching up on all the songs about boys Taylor Swift broke up with then figure out what other music is out there.

You're interested in music? I love music. I'd be happy to loan you my iPod for a while. I have most of the big music hits from the past few years...and a lot of musical theatre soundtracks.

...How many orchestral pieces, or pop music done with real instruments, do you have?

Hmm...I'm not sure exactly since I've never sat down and counted them, but I'm positive I have over fifty of them.

...Then it might be worth it.

I'm a musician, my tastes are a bit... picky.

That's understandable. My father owns a music studio and my mother was a prima ballerina, so I'm used to people having very particular tastes.

I'm a sound manipulating cellist who missed five years, I'm incredibly picky about music.

Also my name's Maya, since I forgot most people weren't here to remember me.
