I just got to the mall. The gift shop has pink and red cards out and they're bringing out the chocolate.

Wait, here come the teddy bears with love hearts.






There go the fluffy heart pillows.


... And finally the chocolate roses.

It begins.

We only just finished January!

If you were trying to sell pieces of heart shaped chalk you'd make every second count too.

See, that's the thing though.

Why would you even make that? I mean, dress-makers chalks are in that triangle shape but hearts?

The chalky candies? They taste awful.

No idea why anyone made them.

I honestly thought that stuff was a prank on kids from adults to see just how much they can fool us into eating unedible things

Not much of a prank, put sugar in something kids will eat it.

I'm just surprised nobody has made skulls outta the same stuff for Halloween.

Only those fake calavera skull candies so far, but the soapy chalky texture is waiting. Somewhere. Lurking.

I've never had anyone describe bad candy with such menace before.

Hey, candy can be menacing!

Not really the first thing I think of when I think of menace.

Normally I think of metal covers of rock songs, or small bugs.

You should add monkeys to that list. Monkeys can be menacing.
