So, like, if no one else wants to, I'm gonna be taking care of the theatre club, at least for a while! Costume Club's still gonna be a thing, too, though. And classes are gonna start soon, so you should all totally sign up for mine!

...Um.

[He sighs, dropping the Everything's Normal act for a moment or two, because there's really no way to act happy about it.]

There's. Gonna be a memorial service Saturday, at Holy Cross. Everyone's invited.

When are club meetings?

I guess it's kinda complicated for middle schoolers... Maybe I could put together another class for that age group? Like, "intro to civics" or whatever?

And they're 5:30 on Fridays! All the regular classes should totes be done by then.

I'll ask, but it should totally be okay for me to do something like that!

Like, the classroom closest to the stairs on the second floor. I have a bunch of storage set up in there!

That's part of the plan! We totally make costumes just for fun, too, though.

Exactly! Like, any ideas yet?

Not really. I haven't dressed up for Halloween before. I've only seen it in movies. But it looks fun!

Ohmigod, really? You've totally been missing out!

We were always traveling, and we never seemed to be in a country on Halloween that celebrated it by dressing up.

That's tragic. Maybe we should do something classic for you, then! Like, a witch, or a cat, or a princess or something.

[She's about as close to being an actual princess as it gets without being an actual princess. So that idea just strikes her as rather silly.]

[She taps a finger to her lips as she thinks.]

Purple crushed velvet and black satin... embroidery on the bodice... spider web detailing on the sleeves....

I like it. But you're gonna need a super cute hat to go with it, too!

Oh yes! A hat, must have a hat. Maybe reverse the fabric colors on the hat? Black velvet with purple satin trim... Or would a purple hat look good?

A purple hat then. I need to go sketch this out. And plan a trip into town for fabric.
