[03 - Text]

[This appears one day from Sakuya's number, onto the network, entirely on accident.

Apparently she was probably trying to do something else, but it came out... this way.]

ツキガ

ツキ ガ

シズカ ナ

フカイモリ

ナニモナイ

マタ アイマショウ

マタ アイマショウ

["the moon

the moon

hangs over

a quiet,

thick forest

there is nothing

let's meet again
let's meet again"

Honestly, the weirdest part is not that there's a random poem(?) now on the network. The weirdest part, for anyone who speaks the language, is she made the stylistic choice to write it all out in katakana instead of... anything more complex.

Anyway, I promise she won't go all tsun and yell about the ~*~screams of her pathos~*~, so approach to ask, maybe?]

[ He knows the language, and it takes him a few moments to figure out what it is supposed to be.

His reply comes in properly written Japanese. ]

If this is a poem, it's quite nicely done.

Unfortunately, yes.

But your poetry has form. And it isn't anything sensitive that had been leaked.

[ Even if it does, he lets it slide. It's something he can empathize with, in any case. ]

Do you pursue literature as a hobby, by the by?

Ah. Were you not born in our fair homeland, or?

[ Or is it just rusty from lack of use? ]

[ Ah. It must be the effects of her mutation, then. Or some other condition. ]

If you need help revising our language, I can try. My father was quite interested in literature.

[ Apart from history, that was his biggest priority. ]

"Simple poetry can make for awesome ballads," he said with a nod.

I'm guessing this was unintentional?

[Given the language, he assumes that's the case. And he doesn't want to pry, but he is a little curious...]
shiningscales: (at ease)

[personal profile] shiningscales 2015-02-13 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Well, considering quite a few of us can't even read it, I'm sure it could have been.

[He waffles a bit, then adds to his reply:]

What is it, if you don't mind my asking?

[personal profile] shiningscales 2015-02-16 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see! I do the same thing, sometimes. Not with poetry, but I don't usually have much reason to dust off my Greek, so I have to find excuses to use it a little here and there.
shiningscales: (calm)

[personal profile] shiningscales 2015-02-18 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
That makes sense. I guess I just don't have much of an ear for poetry myself.
