And more school trouble.

[Zancrow turns on his camera and looks into it, frowning. Hard]

How the fuck this school thing work?

I did the summer homework, [Sorta] And all that crap.

I haven't done this shit since I was, like, eleven. What kind of classes are there? Are they useful? Let's be real, how useful is literature going to be in the field?

Well, that all depends on what grade ya are in. Besides, Ya never know when ya have ta blend in and talk about that on a mission.
stardustreverie: (I'm listening)

Ah..Well at that point yeah. I mean ya never know what type of paperwork ya might end up with for anythin' really.

I could see ya bein' upset about later grades but this is kinda silly.

[Nah..Not yet at least.]

If ya want help, ya can always ask for it.

Honestly, probably not much. It makes for a nice fluff class.

You strike me as the kind of guy that would like chemistry, and probably physics.

Chemistry is basically how to blow things up and how to not blow yourself up. But they generally start you with more boring stuff, like making liquids change colour or using a gherkin as a battery.

It can be, especially once they bring out the bunsen burners.

You do need a decent grasp of math for science. They might have to test you to see where your math skills are.

Very useful. It's one of the few things that can help against your greatest enemy out there: boredom.

As lord and master of all obscure facts, the key to information's usefulness is imagination. If you're imaginative enough you'll find a use for it, which is why I can make a grenade out of a microwave.

Yes well. After the recent events, it seems helping people with homework is the only way I can justify my existence here.

[Viti's eyebrow twitched]

[personal profile] griot 2015-09-25 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Viti growled.]

Lets get to the matter at hand. I am guessing at least a dozen people have already recommended physics and chemistry to you, yes? We can get a head start on that, or we can check other subjects since others will already be helping you with science.

It might help you calm down.

[Said in a slightly lighter version of Kaede's usual deadpan.]

That's what painting helps me with, anyway.

What, is there a "you must be this pissy to get on the ride" ID test?

[Is this what it's like being carded??]

Believe it or not, teaching you field skills isn't our only priority, though you'll find plenty to learn there, too.

Standard curriculum includes field skills in addition to everything you'd find in a normal school. Science, social studies, math, the arts, and so on. Different emphases and available options depending on grade level and how hard you're willing to work.
koukai_kirai: (Fuck like a Kennedy)

[personal profile] koukai_kirai 2015-09-26 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
First, that's statistically untrue. Plenty of mutants have normal, civilian jobs. Second, even if non-mutants won't hire us, mutants still need people trained to get all sorts of jobs done. Third, you're not doing yourself any services by staying ignorant. It'll only make the world harder on you.
