[Hello, have a huge purple elf with metal dreads and a large mask on his face.]

Good evening, Xavier's! Guess who's back?

[His 'voice' is somewhat robotic and his hands move in ASL at the same time as his mask translates.]

Let me tell you, exploding houses and getting mistakenly kidnapped to the sewers is a really weird vacation. For those who do not know me, I'm Zian Mardovich, the school nurse.

[Have a little wave and a smile of giant shark teeth behind the mask. Yep, Grade A dork right here.

With the introduction done, however, he looks a bit more serious.]

I'm also here to lighten the load a bit for Dr. McCoy and the other medical staff. My healing abilities and supercharging of the immune system should come in handy to fight this virus. It is also part of why I've been gone for a while.

...please visit the nurse's office at your leisure for a boost and a checkup.

[He shrugs a bit and keeps signing as the translator speaks.]

We probably need all the help we can get, but since I just arrived back at the big house I don't have all the details yet. What's your name, kiddo?

Viti DeFalco. I've learned a few things about the virus myself after I was quarantined on accident. I am guessing you've already been told that it makes harder for mutants to use their powers.

Nice to meet you, Viti.

[His features turn a bit more sad, even if the voice remains level and metallic.]

...yeah, I'm fully aware what it does. I live in District X when I'm not here, so it's been tough.

How did you get quarantined on accident?

[Viti growled]

I was trying to warn Zancrow not to get too close to the sick person, but to do that I had to be in the same room for a few seconds. Nobody told me how contagious the disease was so I requested to be quarantined just in case.

Oi. My parents were totally freaking out. It was mess. Which reminds me, excuse me while I take a second to tell Zancrow something.

Smart thinking, though. No sarcasm.

[Because sarcasm really didn't travel in flat voices.]

Your folks got all the contact info they need? You need anything to keep in touch?

[...also really dude what are you even doing.]

[What do you mean what am I doing?]

Sorry I had to tell this guy Zancrow "I told you so" because he got close to the sick guy, and now he's quarantined too.

But anyways, No! Please do not give my parents anymore contact info! They call me twice a day, and it's as embarrassing as fuck. I wish they would stop.

Well, that dude needs a chill pill. I'll discuss with the rest of the medical staff when it's safe to kick him out out of quarantine.

[He smiles again.]

Yeah Zancrow is an absolute nut case.

[Viti sighed and crossed his arms]

Anyways thank you for protecting me from my parents. I know they love me. Plus, there's a whole bunch of kids here that don't even have parents but...I don't know. It is kind of constraining. When I told them that I wanted to help fight the virus it took me an hour to convince them not to pull me out of school.

I mean, we have safety protocols up the wazoo, what are they worried about? Also they wouldn't like it if they knew I was swearing.

[There's a breathy sound at that, a kind-of inhale that <may be considered a laugh.]

Don't worry, man. I have a little old Russian lady as my mom and let me tell you, she would put a tracking device on me if she could.

[She also sent 12 boxes of chocolate marshmallow ghosts the first time he came to the Institute so he'd make friends.]

Yeah, watch the swearing, okay? I'm trying to self-censor myself here and I kind of suck at it, but I'm supposed to be faculty and all that.

[Viti nodded]

Fair enough. Swearing isn't needed. On that note, I should probably take down that inspirational cat poster, that was ripped off from an old episode of 'Last week Tonight.

[Viti scooted over so Zian could see a poster of a kitten dangling on rope above the words "Fuck you, Fuck me, Fuck Everybody." Viti scooted back into position.]

Anyways, if you can, please keep me abreast of the virus situation. I may be a thirteen year old boy, but thanks to my power I'm surprisingly useful in the lab.

...I love it. Beats my Yoda one.

[He leans back to show the hanging Yoda poster with 'In There You Must Hang'.]

You wanna tell me what your power is?

[He could technically find out in the medical files, but he's a nice guy.]

[Viti gave a chuckle at the Yoga poster]

Are you kidding me? I get annoyed when people DON'T ask me what my power is. If it were up to me, random passers-by would stop me in the middle of the street to ask me what my power is!

Anyways, my power absorbs information from the universe, whether I want it to or not. As it is, I only just recently found out how to stop it from spying on people.

However, because, I had the power since I was born, it accumulated an enormous back log of information about physics, biology, chemistry, history, law, and poems from other planets.

Really helps when navigating a lab.

[He smiles again, a little awed.]

Sounds pretty damn powerful, though. I'm glad people can help you out, here - seems like there would be a lot of stress on your mind with such a power.

Well actually, the power was so subtle in its info gathering that I didn't even know I had a power until Professor Xavier told me. I just assumed I heard or read the information somewhere, and forgot the source.

It is only since getting here that my power has started to sometimes give me headaches. The worst was when my power would spy on people without me knowing, and I would sprout out some fact that dredged up people's painful past. Lot of people with painful past here, you see? Then they would attack me and I would wonder why.

Still, my power is pretty awesome. Not to brag.

Your power doesn't sound bad ether though.

Yeaah that sounds like a headache in more ways than one. The professor is excellent like that, though. I'm sure he'll help you get control and make it superhero-awesome!

[Then comes a shrug.]

I'm very grateful for what I can do. My father was a doctor, so being able to heal is kind of in the blood. Only not literally.

Ah I get it. Well in that case, have you heard of the X-team "heroic angel Rescue?"

That's a team dedicated to being the Institute's Ambulance service. There an amazing team. I would join, but one of it's members really doesn't like me. But I bet Gregory would like you.

I haven't heard of that team, but I do know Greg. Nice kid, if a bit overbearing and stubborn.

['Stubborn' wasn't even a strong enough word, really. Kid had some serious potential, though.]

Now I know who to call for patient delivery.

Oh god you have no idea! He's the kind of guy who would sooner drive off a cliff rather than listen to you.

I've been trying to get him to help fight this virus for months now, but even with one of his best friends in the hospital he won't listen to me.

I swear, there are bricks that are less stubborn.

He's a good kid, though. Just wants to help.

[Zian is not good at talking badly about people, and he does like Greg. Just... trying to help him use his powers responsibly was a little taxing, however.

He wasn't sure how he'd manage without Takakage.]

Anything other than the virus that I need to know? Or don't need to know, really. I'm curious and I've been gone way too long.

hmmmmm...[Viti looked up into his thoughts]

Well nothing I can think of. There were some big events before I got here, but because they happened before I got here I can't tell you much about them.

[Viti shrugged]

Though while we're talking there's something I would like to ask.

Do you know what temperature the district-X virus needs to survive?

It's been affecting ice-users and fire-users alike, so I can't say I do.

[He sighs, a little bit frustrated about that.]

[Viti sighed]

I see. That is ill news. Well anyways I can't say much of what happened while you are gone. The only warring I have is for that Zancrow fellow. He's not just another troubled teen. He's ideologically opposed to the X-men, and likes Renko, though you may have already heard that.

Hm. Seems we have a lot of radical kids lately.

[he can't really blame them, though. Things were shit.]

[Viti sighed]

Radical is the wrong word. Radical implies that these kids are tying to do something new, but all they want to do is repeat their ancestors mistakes, killing and destroying their way through life.

Xavier is the one trying to do something new. Bringing two tribes together instead of killing them...That is a radical departure from what humanity has been. That more than anything is why I want to be part of the institute.

[Viti shook his head]

I'm sorry. I'm rambling. I should get to work training my power. I will need to if I'm going to help anyone's dream.
