[Well, someone has finally stopped avoiding the school's intranet. She probably would have come around sooner but...well, stubborn. She had kept her head down mostly. Always to the side in the class, avoiding direct eye contact with most people. Ducking groups, and even her roommate. Either because she was still pissed about being here, or hoping she'd get pulled out and wouldn't need to break off any budding friendships or the like.

Well, enough was apparently enough. Sadly, she didn't really think about an ice breaker for this. Hence this lingering pause on her face at the beginning]

So...concerts. That's a thing, huh?

[Well, chalk that one up to failed improvising. Real smooth Jacqui. She tips the phone away from her face as she lightly bounces her palm off her forehead before returning to form]

Right. So I'm new...ish here. And in lieu of an introduction, figured I'd jump right into seeking out like minded people. So, anyone else here like to get up at the crack of dawn and run a couple of miles?

[Beat. She knows there's one of you...mainly cause they already run together. Still...]

And on the far more likely side, kickboxing. Anyone into that? Might like to help keep a girl up to scratch?

[well she can't really do the kicking part but the punching? She had that down pat and was always looking for more people to join her.]

I'm not exactly good with the kicking side of that but I'm always looking for more people to help train. I'd be more than happy to spar a little.

The punching is just as important as the kicking. I'm down.

Hopefully nothing basic. [Sure, she might have been home taught, but that didn't mean she wanted to find out it had been all wrong.

The name confirmed it though. Actually it confirmed a couple of things. She didn't recognize it before, but now that face and name were properly married...]

What's your usual regimen?

Eh, regimen? It ain't anythin' really fixed, but... [Scratching his head. He's not the strictest about this stuff, after all.]

Bit'f a run around the place in the mornin', free weights in the evenin' if I've got time... I try 'n do somethin' a bit bigger a coupla times a week, too, 'n there's things like team trainin' and power trainin' on top of that.

[Oh, right. Not everyone grew up on a makeshift bootcamp. She leans back a bit and nods along, pausing particularly on power training.

Yeah. That was something to get to, too. Sooner she was trained, the sooner she could...]

Sounds pretty good. I could get behind that. [Even if she did prefer regularity. Discipline and all that] Wondering what constitutes as "somethin' a bit bigger" though.

You must have a lot of energy! It's all I can do to walk down to the dining hall in the mornings, I never really think about running around that early.

Interpol worked pretty closely with the US military on a lot of missions regarding some mutant warlords in Southeast Asia. While I worked more closely with Colonel William Guile and Lieutenant Charlie Nash, I did cross paths with your father on more than one occasion.

You know, as unlikely as I would have called it when I first came here... I rather miss getting up at a truly obscene hour in the morning to torture myself. I consider it one of many personality flaw permanently instilled by the military life.
