You know what the great part is about having a normal job? Having to wake up at the same time every morning. I love it. And for those of you using speech-to-text for whatever reason, that was sarcasm.

Anyways. Guess I'd better reintroduce myself for those who didn't know me before. I'm Carlyn Caimbeulach. Yes, I've been an X-Man a few times. Had some work with S.H.I.E.L.D. for a while, thus why I haven't been around. Got semi-ceremoniously fired around the time one of my higher-ups, dunno who, decided they'd rather have me at the school after the... Incident last week.

Add in two hours of brain-checking to make sure I'm not a plant or anything, three hours of reestablishing my room down in the faculty lairs, and then sleep, and I get to come back to my job of librarian without knowing how it's changed.

So, first, can someone catch me up on that? And second, where'd the coffee machine in the faculty break room go? I really hope they didn't get one of those bloody cup-thingies, those make so much waste.

I've had a very stressful past several months doing jobs I'm not allowed to talk about for an agency that was on the cusp of invading a school I love until some other I-don't-even-know-who did instead and argh. So, yeah. Mayyyybe a bit on edge, you're right. I'll try to tone it down.

"Can't live with it, can't live without it", so the saying goes. I had to stick with energy shots a lot when I was on the job - no time to brew things - so proper coffee's amazing again.

More like the collateral damage got out of hand. The school's defenses were hacked and turned on us, and S.H.I.E.L.D. was trying to get in, and several students' powers were used on a rather grand scale.

[And that's coming from a man who creates brief hurricanes from time to time.]
