Twelfth Daydream [Video]

Cześć, everybody!

[Guess who's looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! Someone who didn't have student training to do, and spent the whole weekend in bed while you kids were out beating each other up, that's who. (Hint: It's Feliks.)]

So I was super busy until just now and I just realized, it's just a couple of weeks until I graduate? And it's totally freaking me out! I kinda felt like I'd be a student forever, right?

Who wants to help me move the rest of my stuff out of the student housing and over here later? I'd do it myself, but like, it's a lot of work and I don't wanna.

[Extremely selective work ethic, a lifestyle.]

And after that, it'll be summer, so... rad honeymoon ideas, go! If we use your idea, we'll bring you back a really awesome souvenir or something.

[Jun giggles a little bit. She likes this whole compliment thing. She could definitely get used to it.

She'd return the favor, but oh, she's forgotten something.]

"Um...what should I call you?"

Wait, did I like forget to tell you my name when we talked before?

[That sounds like something he'd do, honestly. He tries to remember.]

"I think so.."

[She hopes so, anyway. It'd be awful if she had forgotten.]

[Feliks just laughs.]

Oh, wow, my bad! It's Feliks. Feliks Łukasiewicz, but like, that's kinda a mouthful unless you're from the Old Country, so just Feliks is good.

"Got it! Feliks. So um...what's the old country?"

Poland. I've lived here most of the time for a pretty long time now, though!

[His accent, notably, sounds more Valley Girl than European... unless he's been drinking, or getting really emotional.]

"Pole...and?"

[No Jun it's not like that.]

"What's it like there?"

[Well, that was a pretty... broad question.]

I mean, the city and the country are pretty different from each other and junk, but...

The people are a little more old-school about like, religion and tradition and stuff, but they're really warm if you know them. The cities are older, and there's just, like, a ton of history. Some of the old parts of the towns that are still standing are just mad gorgeous.

Um, the food's heavier, but not as sweet, usually -- a lot of really filling stuff! And people like football more. I mean, soccer-football, not American football. And... I mean, I guess a lot of little things are different, you know? But it's definitely pretty cool!

[Even if his advocacy is a bit of an uphill battle there, sometimes.]

[Even with being tired, Marisa's still grinning. Even though she looks slightly a mess and a half.]

Lucky you. I still got a year or two left before I think I'm done with college work.

I'm still a bit wore out, but if ya really need the help, I can make my way over there ta help.

[Even if the last year or so has been mostly thesis-writing, student teaching, and extracurricular stuff.]

How'd the training go? You look kinda chewed up and spit out.

uh huh...Alright I can't argue that. There is a time when you are done with the learnin' thing and it's time at that point. Does it feel real ta almost be done?

yeah, Basically. It went alright, just didn't expect ta be takin' on what was thrown at us. Nor did i expect a one on one fight by the end of it.

[That was fun..yet at the same time, So not her strong point.]

As if. I mean, I've kinda been here forever now, and it's like, "what do you mean I'm not gonna be a student anymore?" I'm probably gonna start teaching if X'll let me, but god, can you just see that?

[He doesn't exactly have the most... mature reputation.]

Anyway, I don't know, it sounds like a pretty good time! What's the fun if you expect everything, right~?

Hey, all of us older returnees and fighters have ta do somethin' at some point. Could be worse teachers. Ya'd keep the focus of some of the more reluctant kids around here.

[Marisa's honestly waiting for the "NO" when she finally graduated. Because she'd either prank the kids or teach the kids how to prank the teachers.]

True, true. Tests our limits and everythin' but the gargoyles didn't make it easy when they were droppin' stuff on us the entire time.

I mean, if you ask my teachers, apparently I "struggle to maintain academic tone in my writing" or whatever.

[Probably because of the number of times he's tried to get away with using phrases like "the Prime Minister pulled a total dick move, and everyone was all 'oh my god seriously?'" in presentations and term papers.]

No way, gargoyles? I did miss a cool party!

Have the not heard of creative license? I mean, they want so much written yet don't want it ta look readable by everyone. I mean text book lookin' stuff is alright but come on, Have some nice changes right?

Yeah. They shot lasers and weren't happy about us bein' there at all. But I could get it. I mean, I'd hate for people ta bug me at home when I'm comfy.

Exactly! It's way more, like, accessible and stuff my way. And knowledge is power, so that's power to the people!

[He winks at the camera, completely unrepentant.]

Did you try, like, knocking or something? Like, "hey, gargoyles, sorry to bug you, can we just get by a sec?"

Exactly. Besides, everythin' has ta be easy ta read or else a lot of people won't give it a glance.

[A laugh.]

I'd have ta ask Reimu and Flandre. They went up while I was on the ground. But to be honest? That was the least of their worries. Dragon up and about and Alric joinin' him.

Right, exactly!

...Wait, like, an actual dragon? Was that part of the simulation? How come I never get dragons in my training?

[Unfair!]

I don't think so. I think it was a member of the other team. I wasn't paying attention when we finally got out of there.

[A shrug]

It did look like he was havin' trouble so who knows.

No way, Alric is totally holding out on me! That's so lame! What kind of a next-door neighbor is he?

"You're my friend, happy to help. Besides, half of Europe came across the pond to help me move in here, so I can pay it forward."
