5 [Video - Backdated to last week]
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the election -- I was kind of surprised about the result, but I'm really grateful to the people who voted for me. Thank you for your faith in me -- I'll try my hardest not to let you down! And to the rest of the student government, I'm looking forward to working with you.
[She looks a little bit nervous for a moment, but pushes forward:]
I've been meaning to ask, is there anyone who wouldn't mind me praticing my power on them? It's just that I want to be able to use it to help people, and I'd hate to use it on anyone without their knowledge...
Anyway, thank you!

I... never really thought about it, no?
You're an actress?
video;
Theatre aims to produce feeling—anguish and joy! Actors struggle to capture feelings and make them fresh. So much of it rests on emotion. You could be a great artist!
[It's true that self-preservation isn't high on Gilberte's list of priorities. Although it is somewhere well above preserving others.]
video;
I've really only ever used it for self defense before... [Mostly.]
But that could be good practice, maybe?
video;
Yes, you can assist me in my exercises! My emotions are deep and powerful, so it will be a fine test for you.
video;
I feel the same way about being here -- I've met such wonderful people already!
Maybe if you show me a script you're working with, I can help you and we can both practice together?
video;
Bon! Then it is decided. I have many scripts, but—I do not yet write as well in English as in French, so you must forgive me. A play that could turn hearts—do you know, such a thing could change the world.
video;
What sort of plays do you write?
video;
Hm. You see, I am a modern dramatist. I experiment. Yet, I like to tell the classic stories, the great tragedies and histories. But my greatest work will celebrate the life of my dearest friend, the name seared into my heart!

video;
[Gilberte means this quite literally.]
And for her, I would do anything.

[Gilberte's manner changes abruptly, her face twisting with grief, eyes bulging.]
She was brutally murdered!

Oh!
Oh, I'm so sorry, I had no idea...
video; cw for discussion of violence
I live only to honor her memory, for life without her is unbearable!

That must be -- I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to ask about something like that...
video; cw for discussion of violence
There is no need to apologize! It is her murderers who must apologize... and they will, when I bring them to justice at last! But what cruel fate, that not once, but twice, I should be separated from my beloved by death!

[Goodness, but this is turning out to be quite the story she's accidentally stumbled onto.]

But a second time, murder and fate have torn us apart.
[Gilberte doesn't need much excuse to tell dramatic stories.]

I'm really sorry for your loss...

Yes, great loss! My heart has been cut out! I have been eviscerated!
But if death was undone once, then it can be undone again. And this I will do!

Will you?
