I just got to the mall. The gift shop has pink and red cards out and they're bringing out the chocolate.

Wait, here come the teddy bears with love hearts.






There go the fluffy heart pillows.


... And finally the chocolate roses.

It begins.

We only just finished January!

But WHY does it have to be red and pink for romance? Why not navy for the midnight sky or gold for candlelight, that kind of stuff?

I honestly thought that stuff was a prank on kids from adults to see just how much they can fool us into eating unedible things

You could always stick to brown for chocolate? Or even white.

We'll have to see, but if someone orders 100 roses to leave at some student or teacher's doorstep, then we'll know it's that bad.

I know, and I complain about them when they come around. Can't leave V-day out!

We already have one, as a matter of fact. We're roommates, so please don't trouble yourself on our behalf.

I think someone did mention that this school has something akin to a bomb shelter, so in a worst case scenario, perhaps some few sane souls can be saved.

It's not like that.

[ So please ignore Luvander's comment. Just do it. Just ignore him in general, it would make all of them much better off - or so Natsuno thinks, anyway. He's trying so hard to not fall into embarrassed territory here.. so hard.. ]

Hearts are red and most of the romantic flowers are pink or red. It's just tradition, don't you think?

Not much of a prank, put sugar in something kids will eat it.

I'm just surprised nobody has made skulls outta the same stuff for Halloween.

It's hard to make brown look nice, and white should be saved for White Day.

There is no escaping Valentine's Day. The bomb shelter would just have roses stuffed in there anyway.

Only those fake calavera skull candies so far, but the soapy chalky texture is waiting. Somewhere. Lurking.

Actually, I came here for new running shoes. Then the red and pink started popping up everywhere.

The tradition aspect just makes it weirder. I mean, hearts aren't really all that cute, when you think about it.

I've never had anyone describe bad candy with such menace before.

Well the actual organ is not cute, but it is important. They keep us running. They used to believe is was the center of the body. It makes sense!

And the cute little ♥ IS adorable. It's not the same.

So, do YOU have someone you're going to be showering with ♥?

Depends on who's the receiving party and what the context is? I mean, if you're just giving it to a teacher as a 'thank you for being awesome' gift, then it's just that bit of extra effort. If you're giving it to your S.O. then they might think it's too formal, unless they have a taste for classy things?
