backdated to sunday, text.

[Text is easier, Ken figures. It gives him time to read back over what he's written, double-check for typos, look a couple things up in his dictionary and make sure it's translating right, and generally put on enough polish to not sound like an eleven-year-old who's been in the country for all of two days.]

I used to go to the shrine every day back home. I don't think they're very common in America, but it seems like there are a lot of Japanese students here.

Is there anything like that on the school grounds? Or just a quiet enough place to go would be okay, too. I don't want to stop just because I moved.

I got here a few days before that, so I'm still getting used to the place, too.

A little bit. But people have been really kind, so far.

Have you made any friends yet?

Yes, that's right.

Hopefully you'll have enough time to rest before your classes start!

That's good.

I didn't introduce myself, did I? My name is Krista.

It's very nice to meet you, too, Ken.
