backdated to sunday, text.

[Text is easier, Ken figures. It gives him time to read back over what he's written, double-check for typos, look a couple things up in his dictionary and make sure it's translating right, and generally put on enough polish to not sound like an eleven-year-old who's been in the country for all of two days.]

I used to go to the shrine every day back home. I don't think they're very common in America, but it seems like there are a lot of Japanese students here.

Is there anything like that on the school grounds? Or just a quiet enough place to go would be okay, too. I don't want to stop just because I moved.

I almost feel like a superhero when you say it like that, Ken. Thank you.

Although, it is not really that exciting. Being a detective is not easy, and many times extremely isolating.

Yes, exactly. Perhaps that is the nature of life itself.

To change the subject, you said that you just arrived here not long ago?

I have not been here long myself, however, if you would like, I could meet you in front of the dorm and show you around before going out to the shrine.

Naoto-kun is acceptable, Ken-kun. Shirogane-san is only for rude people and police men.
