I wanted to make sure everyone knows: I'm boycotting all my classes. No matter what.

I don't agree with the mission of this school, and I'm being held here against my will! So I'm officially on strike in protest of your unjust policies!

[It's true, as was pointed out to him: if he's protesting, he should let everyone know about it!

He's still not sure about the hunger strike part of his plan, as he needs to eat a lot. But he boycotted Thanksgiving, so that's a start.]

[Eren hadn't foreseen having to answer so many questions. But it's okay, he can keep going all day!]

I have a problem with training mutant children to fight and supporting the mutant agenda. It's not just about safety, anyone can see that.

Boycotting and walk outs are forms of protest. I don't care if I fail. I refuse to recognize this school's grades!

[There's a long pause in between messages as it sinks in for Shindou that oh god Eren's actually for real. Did he honestly just use the phrase "the mutant agenda?"]

No one here is forced to learn to fight! The school teaches us what we need to know to defend ourselves and other mutants, for those who want to. You can't seriously think that's wrong, as many people as there are out there who'd try to hurt us.

Maybe not, but they're encouraged to fight, and that's wrong. It's not the same as self-defense, forming attack squads.

Mutants are already dangerous enough. It's humans who should be protected from them.

Attack squads? Are you just trying to insult people, talking like that? Those of us who are on the X-Men's trainee squads are doing it because we want to be able to protect people.

[Which is to say: Certified mutant attack squad member, right here.]

From humans or mutants! The X-Men were the only ones able to do anything against the Brotherhood, when they were still a threat.

I'm not trying to insult anyone, that's what I think.

That's what you say. Some rich mutant bringing a lot of kids with powers together and training them to fight doesn't sound suspicious at all.

[Not that Eren was raised by Friends of Humanity and trained for the war on mutants or anything...]

Humanity does have its own weapons to use against the mutants. The X-Men didn't save the president, did they? They didn't even catch the murderers. There's a lot of people they don't catch. I wonder why that is?

You make it sound like you think us even being able to defend ourselves is wrong. You don't even care about knowing what really goes on here, do you? Just the fact that we're mutants learning to use our abilities makes us untrustworthy for you. I really don't understand. You're a mutant, too, right?

I don't think defending yourself is wrong. But this is more than that! I would like to know what really goes on here, you're wrong.

[Then, maybe if he can figure out a way to report back to the Friends of Humanity...]

But you are right about me not trusting you.

If that were true, you'd be trying to find out by actually spending time with the other students here, not refusing to go to class and doubting us all out of hand.

Did you honestly just call it that? Is that how you think of everyone here, that we're all sick just for being mutants?

That shows what you know, because I do spend time with other students. One of them's protesting with me!

[Eren has managed to get along with a couple people, in spite of himself.]

That's what I said. I mean what I say.

What, so you can spend time telling them that they're diseased and that they shouldn't trust anyone else? It's your business if you want to be that paranoid, but don't drag other students into it with you!

[Which, yeah, is kind of counter to what he was just saying a minute ago, but holy jeez this guy needs some serious help??]

I didn't tell anyone what to do, people make their own choices! I didn't ask anyone to protest with me, but if they want to, they can.

I do think they need help! Of course I want to help my friends!

[Wait wait, he's thinking better of that last part. But he already pushed send! The disadvantages of being angry on the internet...]

And being told that they're sick and should drop out of their classes is your idea of help?

[Alright, nope. He's done. Just having this conversation is making him sick to his stomach -- mostly because it feels like he should be able to say something to help Eren see how warped the line he's taking is? But he can't, and trying to formulate anything is just making him even angrier.

So, instead:]

Forget it. There's no point in talking to you.

I told you, I didn't tell anyone to drop out of class! And I don't tell go around telling them they're sick all the time. They know I have a different opinion!

[All right, he sort of said that to Sam, but he doesn't want to cure Sam, since he has a useful power. And he didn't have the heart to say that to Shadow, she's so shy.]

That's exactly what you're doing! Talking about this stupid protest and telling everyone not to trust teachers who are just trying to help

[Wait, didn't he just say he was done with this? Damn it, stopping an Internet argument once it's started is hard.]

Friends don't treat each other like being born different is some kind of deformity.

[Okay, and now he's done for real this time - flicking his laptop shut and ignoring any further messages so he can fume in peace!]

[Eren doesn't care if this person replies, he refuses to have anything but the last word in an internet argument!]

They're not helping me! If they want to help me so much, then they can let me go home to my family.

It's not a deformity, it's an illness, and it's not their fault. You can't help being born sick. I want what's best for them! I want them to be safe and not miserable! I don't want them to feel like they're monsters, to hurt people or be hurt by them!

[Though he may be talking about himself... Just a little.]
