[This is a weird one. People have definitely seen this girl around campus, for sure, but you ever get the impression there's just something... off? About her whole existence? Like she's not really there, just in your head? It doesn't help that the 'room' she's broadcasting from doesn't seem to exist in the whole campus...]

So I've been watching a lot of news lately... it was hard to watch news when I was with John, because he never really let us watch TV, and...

I have to admit, I'm afraid. I'm not really afraid of registering, I mean... Pretty much anyone can tell I'm a mutant. I can't really go out in public like normal people do. [But she looks normal? Weird feelings when you look at her too long aside.] But it's kind of about this Mutant Liberation Front and, you know... like... Ugh, this is hard to put into words.

What would happen if that war everyone's worried about happening won't be between the US and Genosha but... more like a civil war right here? Between mutants and humans.

[It's starting to feel more and more real every day.]

Not necessarily.

Right now, we walk a thin line between positive and negative influence. Tensions are high.

That is true.

I am not too familiar with the intricacies of politics, but even if we would go to with protests this may play into the expectations of our opponents.

[ This is hard to admit, but - ]

I have no concrete ideas for the moment. We are not exactly in a position to exert direct influence, but mutants out there might.

I suppose that depends on the X-Men themselves.

If anything, they could bring awareness to our side of the issue.

I suppose we would just need to find the best person for the job, then.

Not on such a large scale.

[ He could do one-to-one negotiations, but the minds of the masses are much harder to judge and manipulate, especially since he did not have psychic abilities. ]

[ It's tempting, but... ]

I have actually never been officially outed as a mutant before. Asking me to speak would definitely change that.

[ It's not an outright refusal, but he has reservations about this matter. The administrators at the hospital he works at are sympathetic to their cause, but others might not. ]

If it is absolutely necessary, I am willing to blow my cover - so to speak - but I would rather not risk my livelihood.

I see.

This visage of yours is a projection, is it not?

[ He had access to a brief overview of her medical records, so yes, he sort of knows. ]

Can you keep it up enough to go outside the school, if only for a covert visit?

[ That makes sense, yes. ]

I see. If we do hold a public speaking session, would you be able to assess the response of the audience?

[ This is so that the speaker can adjust his speech as accordingly. ]

You could help us do that, too.

[ Perhaps not for Professor Xavier, but if any of the other staff did make an appearance, it would be helpful. ]

Reading someone's surface emotions is similar to reading their body language, just on a larger scale.

In a way, it isn't. But if you would want to look at it that way, then it's your preference.
