[Orin is still finishing one of her signature twin braids as she starts the video feed, smiling brightly into the camera.]

Heya! I've been settlin' in pretty nice, so I thought now's the time to say hello. Don't want it to get too awkward, right? I'm not the wallflower type so I'd really rather not put off introductions any longer...

So! Introduce yourselves to me. I was promised I'd meet a lot of real interesting people here, so make your cases, 'kay? It's not fun if you're all just a bunch of boring sad sacks.

[An idea seems to occur to her all of a sudden, and her tone suddenly becomes a little more urgent.]

By the way, is there like...a gardening or architecture club, or somethin'? A girl's gotta know. For reasons.

[Reasons like knowing if there's a club that wouldn't mind lending out a wheelbarrow or something similar out to her.]

It's a little strange, making other people introduce themselves to you, instead of the other way around...

[ But Azusa doesn't really care, she still just smiles. ]

I'm Azusa Kannagi, of the Newspaper Club! I help put out a newspaper of school news every month! I'm also the resident gossip girl and supernatural expert!

[ And with her power, she just makes a little cartoon sign hologram appear in the air above her with her name spelled out in bright pastel colors. ]

[The hologram has definitely gotten Orin's attention! It's the most interesting thing she's seen at the school so far for sure.]

Heeey, that's pretty neat! How're you doing that, and what kinda supernatural stuff are you talkin'? Like, ghosts and zombies?

[That sounds right up her alley! Oh, but since Azusa brought it up...]

My name's Rin, by the way. Rin Kaenbyou! But call me Orin for short.

[ Azusa doesn't have a power that can shoot lasers through walls, or beat up bad guys, but she is pretty adept at making cute things appear around her. ]

It's my ability. I can make things appear.. [ And camouflage herself too when she needs to. ] But they are just images, nothing else.

[ She waves her hand through her little sign, making it disappear. Instead, she makes herself look like a ghost, complete with the white cloth hanging from her forehead, with bright blue hitodama around her. ]

That's right! I really take supernatural stuff seriously! Even if no one else does. And it's nice to meet you Orin!

[Orin smiles widely at the ghost impression.]

Actually, you ain't the only one! My powers all revolve around dead people, so like...I can talk to 'em, and even reanimate 'em for a little while, so I guess you could say supernatural stuff is kinda my thing, too!

I'd show you, but they don't keep dead bodies on campus. I checked. Maybe the biology lab might have some frogs or somethin', but I dunno how they'd feel about me takin' 'em...

[And she's concerned she'd actually get caught, unlike her previous, pre-Institute corpse thefts.]

[ Of course, Azusa is the type who loves the ghosts and supernatural, believing them to be real, even if she's never seen anything that's been unexplained. ]

You...reanimate dead people?

[ Azusa is going to need a few moments to handle that information. It's definitely bad practice in magical arts to dabble with the dead, but this is a girl's mutant ability, it's not like she became a necromancer by choice. So all Azusa can do is fake a little smile. ]

T-That sounds like a neat ability!

Right?! It's great! There's all kinds of things the dead have to say that no one can hear, 'cuz, you know, they're dead. A lot of people have issues with my abilities, but I think they're probably bein' a little too squeamish...

[She used to wish she had a more mundane power, but she's come to embrace it in the last few years.]

...But that's why it's cool to have someone who's into the supernatural on campus!

[She is completely oblivious to Azusa's discomfort, instead still celebrating that she's found someone with a similar interest.]

I guess that's true. Dead people often have unresolved issues so they come back as ghosts. If you could help people out before that happens that would be a good thing.

[ Says the girl who 100% believes in ghosts. ]
