It's almost given as some sort of disclaimer in the sense of "so don't expect me to really know anything just yet" more than anything else.. it's probably also why a proper introduction is missing. He's not the social type, and he sure doesn't like drawing attention to himself to begin with, so maybe he's just hoping to keep it as short as possible.

A small pause, as if he's thinking of how to word something, but then he just sighs. He probably shouldn't take up too much time with this or lunch break is over, huh. ]

What do you do when your annoying roommate just won't shut up. [ Not even bothering to filter it from said roommate. He gives exactly zero shits.

[ At least it's more reasonable advice. Even if Natsuno still isn't very inclined to listen to it, since.. meeting people.. talking to people... all this stuff isn't one of his strong points, and he doesn't wish for it to be so, anyway.

But he has less to complain that doesn't just sound like personal whining when it comes to this, so instead of a complaint, his tone just sounds wry when he replies. ]

They're what everyone here has in common. Most of us had the same sense of being ostracized from our community - trust me on that.

You try chatting with people, sharing a few hobbies, and you'll find people easily, I'm sure of it.

You sound like some sort of counselor. [ He's probably trying to shrug it off a little by just casually saying that instead. ]

I'm a school librarian and an X-Man besides. I've got many things I need to be, and one of them is someone who watches out for the students and helps them grow.

This is especially true when we have people who frankly have developed very negative personalities as a result of the crap that happened to them before they got support.

[ That last line is very Natsuno, yes.. although he'll never admit it. And at least he isn't that bad, he's a good guy when it comes down to it. But that's also something he wouldn't say out loud, so instead he just makes a small "hm" kind of noise, as if to indicate he's at least listening. ]

Have those people been violent before?

[ Might as well scope out the potential stuff that could be a pain in the ass to deal with if more of those types pop up here. ]

Or, on a less extreme measure, there's people who try to join X-Teams but can't uphold our ideals - at all. That causes problems all its own.

Never mind the lesser problems with any sufficiently negative-minded high schooler.

I've heard of some of the bigger things. [ It's hard to miss some stuff, even if you do just live among people as a mutant and generally aren't much in contact with mutant stuff to begin with.. so it's not like he's entirely in the dark, but he's sure there's a lot of finer things he doesn't know about yet. Like those people trying to join X-Teams.. ]

I was just curious about people at this school. If there's a lot of incidents or whatever.

I could tell you some interesting stories, but I was never actually a student here - just faculty. My family had me graduate at my local high school once I had basic control of my own power.

I wouldn't say there's more incidents here than most schools. Just, more of them involve the ceiling in various ways.

I'm almost jealous of you.

[ Although not fully, since it's not like living in Sotobah was ideal, and he knows why he had no choice but to leave and come here.. but he's not so sure if he likes being in overly social weirdo paradise a lot better. So it's only half-serious at best. ]

Then again, you came here all the same to be faculty. Even though you had the chance to not deal with it, you still did it.. I guess that'd make me a little less jealous.

Don't worry, I don't need it. [ When he's so reluctant to share his own, he's not going to ask for other people's. Natsuno may be a jerk a lot of the time, but he's not that hypocritical.

Also not saying anything in regards to the advice.. which means he's probably avoiding doing so since he doesn't want to follow it up, whoops. ]

[ Yeah. Hard to miss. Natsuno doesn't react to it out loud, but he's definitely noticed the tone, and it makes him frown a little in a thoughtful way as he stares at the feed for another moment or two.

Well, it's not like he's intending on causing trouble, so.. it shouldn't be a problem. Just a little more to this person than he thought at first.

He gives a small nod before turning the feed off. ]
