A small pause, as if he's thinking of how to word something, but then he just sighs. He probably shouldn't take up too much time with this or lunch break is over, huh. ]

What do you do when your annoying roommate just won't shut up. [ Not even bothering to filter it from said roommate. He gives exactly zero shits.

In Buddhism, we have something called "shouting at the shadow". It describes the fruitlessness of trying to change other people.

So did Buddhism have an answer on how to deal with other people too then?

Learning compassion for others doesn't necessarily mean forming close relationships with them. It's a matter of understanding.
