I just got to the mall. The gift shop has pink and red cards out and they're bringing out the chocolate.

Wait, here come the teddy bears with love hearts.






There go the fluffy heart pillows.


... And finally the chocolate roses.

It begins.

We only just finished January!

So soon? I need to get new cake recipes now!

Talk to Megan. She loves with baking.

[soccerwhisperer]

I'll be sure to ask for her. In the meantime, I am going to ask my relative. She used to make the best cakes around.

I wonder if I can get away with not making anything pink...

[turbedon]

You could always stick to brown for chocolate? Or even white.

[soccerwhisperer]

It's hard to make brown look nice, and white should be saved for White Day.

Dark chocolate glaze always looks classy?

Classy? Is that too formal?

[turbedon]

Depends on who's the receiving party and what the context is? I mean, if you're just giving it to a teacher as a 'thank you for being awesome' gift, then it's just that bit of extra effort. If you're giving it to your S.O. then they might think it's too formal, unless they have a taste for classy things?

I think I only have two people like that here, then.

Guess you'll have to stick to cotton candy pink then.

Can't I just use a friendship color!?

Kind of missing the point of Valentine's day then.

All love isn't romantic.

No, but it kind of IS the point to celebrate romantic love for Valentine's, don't you think?

[soccerwhisperer]

Not really! In Japan, it's normal to give and get friendship chocolates on Valentine's day.

[turbedon]

Really? That's kind of cool. I'll keep that in mind.

[soccerwhisperer]

When you give your friends friendship chocolate, they have to be the same size, or cost the same. Otherwise it looks like romantic intension.

[turbedon]

I don't know, that sounds like a good prank to see the look on their faces.

[soccerwhisperer]

That would be funny!

[turbedon]

Right? I might have to do it now.

[soccerwhisperer]

Are you going to make your chocolate or buy it?

[turbedon]

I'll have to buy it. I'm not a cooking whiz.

[soccerwhisperer]

Then get the one with lace on it! Those will really freak them out.
