Julius was killed because there were those that thought he would declare himself dictator for life and would never step down. But it also can be pointed out that Julius himself was passing beneficial laws for the poor that directly harmed the same people who killed him, giving them motive.

So I guess my question is, what would be the best way to find out who was really in the right?
