His eyes slid to the gold, a dull gold, but a gold without a hint of orange. Not something that was common for him at this point. "I do not think loaning me a shirt is a good idea," he said, and then added a but wryly, finding and lifting a somewhat scorched scrap that had been the neckline if his last shirt, "they don't tend to last long."
And then he actually managed to remember what manners were used in a case like this. "Ah... Thank you, though." And the odd thing was, he actually meant it. He actually felt.. Grateful. It was.... An odd feeling; but not an altogether unwelcome one.
