Hi! What do people normally do on Thanksgiving? I'm going home to Japan, and I think some of my friends will want me to share some American culture. My relative's boyfriend said all people do is eat, but that can't be all, is it?

Is anyone else going home? My mom insisted I take every chance to visit. I don't blame her. I do want to see my dog again in person! He's getting old and I want to spend as much time with him as I can.

Mostly it really is getting a lot of the family together to eat, especially family that you don't get to see much. [So really, the info you've gotten isn't that far off, Tenma.]

I didn't go last time, but . . . this year I am. [Before, he'd waited until the winter break. Longer holiday, also encompassed his birthday, and only a month later than Thanksgiving anyway. But this year is different. Because this year has been five years for Granny, and he hadn't had a chance to go home before school started.]

Thanksgiving is about celebrating with close family and being thankful for things...I think. And there were pilgrims and stuff. But mostly it's about family! And Black Friday. Everything is on sale!
